***Pebbles In Sand***

She walked down a solitary path
left behind her mistakes made
like pebbles in sand dissolving

she drove a car into the night
along a desert highway

until all she could see were stars
twinkling jewels of light

she plucked pearls of wisdom
caught upon her hand from the wind

no one would miss her absence
life would resume without stopping
her choices a dissipating mist

this as she stood outside a house
realizing another day beginning

her children broke the silence
calling

    1. Thanks Grace. Good to see you here. I am doing much better this year. I have a new great granddaughter and great grandson so that makes four to go with my 13 grandchildren. Be well.

      1. Yes, I’ve been putting together a collection of poems I’ve written just in the past 10 years. Just to organize them! And it’s already 400 pages of streaming poetry – not 1 poem/pg. Yikes. Got my work cut out for me! 😉

      2. You are certainly prolific Bela. I have written a lot over the course of my lifetime but raising five children, going back to college and working put a big dent in writing. It was only six years ago that a friend put me onto doing a blog site. I do have some work I did before the site that I actually posted on my friend’s site but any older writing that happened before kids…before much of my life…isn’t anything I will put down again. I admire that you have put so much into it over the years. Bravo!

    1. Thank you Sue for your comment and for visiting. My daughter continues to heal. I go out 2-
3 times a week to help with her daughter’s new baby…my great granddaughter. I now have 2 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters. She had quite the ordeal of 4hrs of surgery as they had to remove part of her right kidney and then she had a major Lupus flare well in recovery so stayed in hospital for 4 days. But she is a very determined woman and now enjoying her new granddaughter as am I. Hope you continue to enjoy your garden. Bravo! xoxo Peace
