I have just posted another short story. Please feel free to take a look under the
Short Stories tab. It’s nice to feel well enough to write again.
“Under the Weather”
I am finally able to sit down and commence writing. Weather fluxuation literally put me ‘under the weather’, so to speak, but feeling better now.

Returned Home
Back from CA and loving my own bed but then back to work tomorrow. Oh, well, can’t have everything we want but thankfully I still have my writing.
City Night Sounds
Image Taken From www.discoverwildlife.com
Above the sound of traffic, drifting
over the brick walled enclosure by
Target parking, erupts the night
cries of the Peacock echoing a
call to all the others roosted in
tall trees silhouetting against the
dark night sky in the ‘burbs
Somewhere among asphalt and
concrete, city lights lining streets
with houses keeping families is
heard the melodies of peepers in
ponds safely hidden as crickets are
the string section of a band
beneath Mariachi music

Enjoying My Visit
Still in California enjoying my time here. Went to the J. Paul Getty Museum yesterday that is a must see for anyone visiting. Will need to peel off some weight when I return home….too much food.
Pier Back In Time
Walking on the pier Time Warp enclosed with
large grooves carved into wooden planks a
reminder of nature’s wind holding salt sea
that polishes bits of broken glass into
smooth, small treasures waiting to be found
Amusement park rides standing idle like
remants of giants waiting for their fares that
never come, a ferris wheel, bumper cars in
back of gift shops with dusty shelves selling
funnel cakes, ice cream and cotton candy
Buildings unpainted, the aquarium beneath a
merry go ’round still running with the sounds
of the Wurlitzer playing, the horses like animal
mannigans going up and down with children and
older people alike all with smiles laughing
Fishermen stand idle and a black man makes
his puppet dance to the sounds of music
faintly heard on the wind coming from the boom
box while ladies in dresses promenade and
aging couples and youth walk by holding hands

Visiting Family
Will not be on as much as usual due to my visit with family here in California. The following is how I see home now. Thank you for
stopping by.
Childhood Home

Palm trees like sentries line the streets
                                     Bouganvillea cascading on trellises
                                     Jacaranda with spreading branches
lavender flowers floating on the air
                                     stucco houses everywhere you look
                                     with billboards speaking Spanish
Rose gardens fragrant in every yard in
the place of my childhood home
