The Amber Mirror

The paradoxical algorithms of life
speak of birth and death colored
with a beginning and an end
both caught within the shadows
of rules, mandates and laws

tasting and speaking of freedoms
both ‘masked’ in lies and deceit

a truth hidden behind closed doors
spoken in silent unheard whispers
seen through the eyes of the faceless

while the legends of time and history
move between the spaces of passions
where wisdom is a time honored truth
where love of others and of self
is the resin that frees them

an amber mirror that reveals life

    1. I knew you would see between the lines…as they say. I am not one to write anything directly about what is or is not happening in our larger society at any point in time. But, of course, like many others might, I do see and wanted to write something with regard to it. I am happy you understand my write for it is…like myself…a complex piece and for many people if things are rather too complex/complicated, they would rather read something a bit less taxing…as it were. I have been in Tacoma and away from where I presently live for awhile now. I come here for all of my appointments as this is where I lived and had my house before heart failure in 2015. But I am heading back this morning and have a new tower fan and shade for the window in my door in hand. I recently put up my blinds for the three windows (had them since last Summer) and my son-in-law built me a beautiful wooden step so I now do not have to step so high to get inside of my studio. I will begin painting again soon. Things have, as you know, been very uncertain and so I have been other focused but now will switch gears once more. Much love your way as well, my dear friend. xoxo

    1. Thank you Bela. Were you ever able to move? I believe you told me you were but with all the things going on in the world, one never remembers what everyone says. If you have been able to move then I do hope you like your new home. Take care.
