Moisture quickly as it was transformed
into ice crystals gathering together
into vast colonies of snowy white
now slowly melts with less vigor
to alchemize magically resembling
larger pieces of rock salt jewels
piled atop the rust of brown leaves
the green of spiky grass
too soon for evergreens prophesy
when pine cones erupt in wonder
opening layer upon layer bristling
with anticipatory jubilation
will release tiny seeds drifting
down spinning, twirling, settling
upon reaching moist beds of earth
to become like enchanted minions
tiny treasures for mother earth
transfiguring into giants
forest armies of green

Thank you. We have had some strong storms this Winter that we are not very use to so my muse has been very busy.

Thank you Libby. I do hope the colder months have been good to you. I have enjoyed reading your cycling stories. I miss that about my youth but there are other things now to capture my time.

I will now have to find something else for my use…something with warmer currents of attractions. 🙂 Thanks!

We have not had so much so in many, many years. The last big snow was in 1985 and it wasn’t this bad. We had three storms in less than two weeks and left people here, who aren’t use to it, raiding the shelves at the grocery stores. I don’t eat a lot and had enough but people really just did panic as we were not snowed in. That is for the East coast and Midwest. Still, it was highly unusual and my muse had much food for thought. I have six weeks left now before I move and begin yet another turn of my path in life. Much love to you, Sue. Thanks for such a kind comment.

A pleasure to read your words Renee, the cycle of life beautifully poetically worded.
Hoping you are faring well with your weather, stark contrast to my weather here with high temperatures up into the 40’s.
Kind regards.

Thank you so much Ian. It actually made it to 50 degrees today and it felt really good, although tonight the temperature had dropped again. We had way too much snow this year so looking forward to warmer weather for sure. Kind regards, Ian.
