More than an opium free fall
for people’s addictive nature
a catalyst for coping
with extremes in society
The poppy a charismatic flower
brilliant orange petals
holding a chrysalis of seeds
a glowing testament of nature

My first attempt at doing the medium of acrylics. I have done just about everything but these and find they are easier to work with than I at first had thought. There is also some colored pencil added.

You’re so talented Renee, it must be wonderful to be able to paint!

Thank You! I think I do many things, not all very well, but I love doing them just the same. Writing and art are my two passions when I am not reading. 🙂

Thank You Sue. It is my first attempt so there are many thinly applied layers of it. I rather used them somewhat like watercolors. Hopefully, I will have better luck the next time. Have a wonderful week as well, my friend. 🙂

Yes I also water them down sometimes too.. It is good to see you setting time to relax and paint.. Have you set aside some piano time also?? … Big smiles xxx Love Sue

Thank You! I need to begin another piece of art now that this one is done. Much more time to do it now I am retired.

Sad that a person might feel the need to do this in order for life to be okay. Thank you!
