My children were at the hospital during this time and the memories I now have are what they conveyed to me, as did my partner. Thank you to Nathan, Adina and Noah (Misha and Kris were there in Spirit) for giving me the strength to hang on just long enough. Your support and encouragement mean everything.

I would love it if memories were arbitrary – the body has an amazing capacity to hold onto them, one way or another – even if they erupt into dreams, failing all else. And so I continue detaching, releasing what I no longer need in the way of mental baggage and keeping my heart open and forgiving. It’s all I know to do. Peace.
