a curled leaf
falling
slowly
touches the ground
without
making any sound
when the haunting past
of flickering images
in shadows cast
no longer stalks
your dreams
can the obituary
seem to be
a means to heal
distant
memories
hardwired nailed down
you will be a plaintive
no longer
but seek solace
in images
much stronger
in a broken spirit
set free
a curled leaf
falling
slowly
touches the ground
without
making any sound

there’s a felt peacefulness in that falling leaf… maybe it’s in the silence when everything what has to be said is said and at peace with the things that haunt us sometimes of the past..

Thank you Claudia and you have understood what it is I tried to convey. Writing isn’t always like that as everyone has their own way of translating and interpreting so what I might want to say isn’t what is understood. I so appreciate your insight as this did take some time to write.

Your poetic words sent a small shiver along my spine, as so many leaves fall, and as we approach that time of year when we remember so many others who fell it was as if your poem was in tribute as each leaf fell silently in respect..
Love and Blessings..

Thank you for your comment. It is so interesting how each one that reads a piece interprets it in his or her own way. I meant it more as a means of healing for myself but what you have seen in the words give pause for thought as well. xoxo

I think maybe my thoughts were on Rememberance Renee as I had been watching the many hand made poppies in clay that had been placed around the Tower of London..
Put ‘Hand made clay poppies tower of London’ into Google Images Renee and see what I am speaking of.. Each one of them represents someone who fell in the war.. xxx

I am so happy that my words brought to you such beautiful images. Words are many things to many people and perhaps that is part of what I love about writing is that whoever sees what I write can take it into their own heart and make it their own. Thank you so much. xoxo
