the tops of pine trees
push their way
out of the fog
like the stuffing
come loose
from an old pillow
who are you, I ask?
the puppies fur
like fluffy cotton
after her bath
but coarser and dense
the static of cold air
pulling it upright
who are you, I ask?
the pre-spring earth
teaming with life
bring juncos, crows
starlings & chickadees
spilling across the yard
the excitement rising
there is always tomorrow

Thank you Ian for always visiting, even when I’ve gone missing. I’ve been ill the last week so not at all connected but hope to gradually get back to my writing. Take care.

We still have lots of rain but the bulbs are all showing their green leafy brilliance. I look forward to flowers. The birds, when it isn’t raining, do come out to chirp for a bit. I do hope you will have bird song soon. Thank You and Smiles

We have lots of bulbs coming up but still so much rain late in the season. The dampness cuts right through. I so look forward to warmer weather soon. Thanks!
