last night I awoke to
large angry raindrops
as tempestuous as a
cold winter’s hail
as thunder rolled
across the night sky
as though trying to
knock over tenpins
amidst lightning strikes
only noticed as the
dark bedroom curtains
began casting shadows
but tonight setting high
in the night sky rests
a sliver of new moon
between gray pillow clouds

It’s hard to sleep in a storm, but I’d sure like to see one here. We have a cold front coming through today. It’s only going to be 98 degrees. Good imagery. Thanks,

It seems I am behind in responding. Thank you for your comment. 98 degrees is far too hot for my liking. Hope this comment finds it cooler now.

Beautiful words Renee, I remember something my Granddad said to me when I was a child, He said to turn the change over in your pocket for luck.. 🙂 always remembered that when ever I see a new moon… xxx Big Hugs

I’d not heard that one before, Sue, and so sorry I missed answering this one. I think all the training at work quite did me in. I can’t seem to get my second wind but am trying. Big Hugs to you as well. (I, at least, got my site changed up a bit. lol)
