characteristic of
none & yet
everything that is
…my muse
touches my soul
with introspective
desire like
casting spells
like magic
each word trickles
than flows like
ink drop pearls
to my pen
capturing the
essence of time
no longer
a floating tide of
black in an
inkwell

Like Diane ( pandamoniumcat) I love the last stanza. A perfect close and it is all rather magical. I like the illustration you chose to complement it as well. Altogether nicely done, Renee. Bravo!

Thanks Jamie! Sometimes it seems I try so hard to write because it is there and needs to be put down and then it doesn’t come but other times…well, perhaps, you have had the same thing happen. Maybe it does with writers in general. Appreciate your comment.

How great — I could add that with your poetry the black ink transform to all the colors of the rainbow… I only wish I ever learned to write poetry that way… it seems so cool.

I like the idea that our words are magic. If we are to believe Robert Graves (in ‘The White Goddess’), originally poetry was just that!

I don’t get to write as much and quite frankly, until things settle down, it will be like that. I do try to get over and see what you are up to. You have been inspirational to so many and it is so appreciated. Blessings.
