let my mind run with
imagination down the
page of forgotten dreams
always in anticipation
of dredging up whimsy
in stars that are gazing
down at me wondering
at the human condition
forever pondering if
we really pursued in
selfless abandonment
dreaming of futures
for those that have less
whose hearts never ask
to have not the aching
that their minds might
run with imagination down
a page of forgotten dreams

Sorry, seems I mess up on that at times, although it does look right to begin with. Thank you for being patient with me. I work all day at a computer and at then end of the day my eyes are tired out. 🙂

Really awesome. I found the poem to be uplifting. And the repetition of the last verse was a really nice way to bring the piece closure.

Renee, we all need to practice more kindness with each other, it would make the world a much nicer place. Nice read. How have you been? I hope all is well.

Thank you Pamela. I’ve been doing okay except that working fulltime with Fibromylgia pain issues can be tiring. But it is a lifetime health problem that began years ago so really, pretty use to it. I do wish I had more energy for writing though. I so love to read of Mexico in your writing. I think before I told you my dad’s family migrated into Mexico from Europe and then into the States. Small world really. Take Care.

“whose hearts never ask”…that grabbed at me…I could relate to the sadness of that..but you steer us onward to revisit our dreams and keep them in our imagination. Beautiful, Renee.

A page of forgotten dreams certainly once must have been full of hopes and love.
Ironic as we age that at certain times we return to the page of forgotten dreams.
An inspiring and thought provoking writing, I enjoyed it.
