tiny hooded mushrooms
clustered like small
villages popping up
amidst blades of grass
giving shelter to
microscopic life
sheltered beneath them

The perfect small stone…those tiny mushrooms seem magical at times. Hey, I just found out that there is a group for the Small Stone people on Facebook. It’s called Small Stones: Mindful Writing Challenge. You have to request membership. I was just okayed. Don’t know if you’re on FB or active on there…but thought I would mention it. Posted my entry on there too.

In Washington State it rains alot but in the Winter months these little guys pop up all over the place. I like your site. You are a very busy gal with all you do. Thank You!

There is something magical about mushrooms … especially like the ones you have in your photo. I saw one today (a stone) with a mushroom in the shape of a wide petaled flower, and they had a tinge of pink in them.

I, too, thought of this and all the children’s books that bring nature to life.

There are a lot of mushrooms here, living wildly, but they are… poisonous. A couple months ago it was terrible, two people died after eating wild mushrooms. But the ones sold in supermarket, yeah, they’re part of my diet. Hehe. 🙂
Nice poem, by the way, Renee. This inspires me to write more about nature. I will plan it. Thank you, many blessings and much love to you. 🙂
