Higher and Higher

Altered Google Image

i could not protect you
as you climbed
high upon the tree

thin spindly arms
you climbed higher
ever higher…free

’til you sat high above
waving to me
angel of everything

i still can’t protect you
as you still climb
forever the tree of life

    1. Thank You Bren! I tried. This is actually for my daughter, Misha, who has Lupus. Before she became so ill as a teenager, as a girl she use to climb the highest trees without any fear and she was such a small thing. She amazed me and still does.

    1. I was wondering if it would be clear enough. Still getting use to what I can do. I took your comment and have made the letters more clear to read. Thanks!

  1. Its hard being a parent as we. Watch from a distance the climb of independnce. It must have been even harder in your case Renee. But your daughters footsteps I am sure are forever guided and protected with each step of the ladder she climbs. For with each one. She grows only closer to the love you both hold within your hearts.
    Beautiful Renee xxxx

    1. She was such a healthy little girl so when she began to get sick and no one could say what was wrong it was difficult. She wasn’t diagnosed until after she had her son. My bond to her is very close. Thanks!
