a shower FALLS down
over her
much like being
captured beneath the
thundering FALLS
high on a mountain top
but hot enough to
sooth away the pain
a permanence that
permeates her body
after a day of
living life every
day of her life
she closes her eyes
letting water drops
run down her face
her hair in
rivulets
expanding awareness
but never giving
answers of a time
without pain and
she smiles
“but is sad to think
of people whose
lives are cut
short”
by disease, by the
bullet sent forth
from a soldier’s gun
of the gun on the
streets of an
inner city
lives created and
barely breathed by
tiny infants or
those without
lives
enclosed in a world
of mental illness
a life inside
their own mind
a prisoner
she sighs and breathes
deeply because
pain can be lived
with, can be part
of a life
tomorrow will come
again rain or shine
as she relishes
the quiet
letting the shower
wash away the pain
her spirit rising
beneath the
WATER’S FALL

Yes, pain has to be lived with. I try to think of babies taken young it’s because they have such good souls that they don’t need to stay here to try to redeem themselves. This is a lovely piece Renee.

i feel it too, we indians say that purest souls are picked up first by God so they dont have to suffer.

I try to remember other people when I’m having an especially down day filled with pain. My daughter, who has Lupus, of course, is an inspiration. I may have my own health issues but nothing like what she lives with day to day. Thank You Bren.

dont look down upon your own suffering, they too are enough to torment you. seeing someone you love so much suffer like that is a torment in itself. whenever you feel down give yourself a hug and say it will be over soon. dont turn your back towards yourself you deserve everyone’s love including yourself.
lots of love.

This is so profound Renee.. and touched a nerve within my being…
My shower under my own water-fall of warm water each morning sooths my own aching muscles which stiffen during sleep..
Often during that time as the water sooths, I send out my thoughts of thanks and think of those less fortunate than myself.. For there are so many who are hurting out there.. not only Physical but mentally as well..
I hope you yourself Renee are well, and my thoughts go still to your daughter.. She still resides within my healing prayer book… Love and Hugs to you both and ALL of your family Renee.. xxx ~Sue

I live with pain on a regular basis having Fibromyalgia and now Rheumatoid arthritis but there are others, like my daughter, whose life is so much more fragile, that I think of them when I am having an off day so it is really alright. I so want to thank you for continuing to keep my Misha in your prayers. She is the light of my life and will always need others to pray for her. She is a strong woman and it does help but her disease tries even her strength at times. Thank You!
