Apologetic Sighs

The distant thunder of
apologetic sighs
creeps unheeded into
our days and nights

giving us pause to
consider again
how much it means to
have family and friends

pulls at our hearts to
correct and make right
the ills of all wrongs of
sufferings and plights

The distand thunder of
apologetic sighs
creeps unheeded into
our days and nights

  1. This is a deep poem here Rene.. And reminds us how precious our family and friends are… I think it isn’t until we have turmoil and storms within our midst that we put our priorities onto perspective and count our blessings..
Great photo of some Angry Skies.. I hope they were not over you Rene..

      1. I believe atleast fifty percent of the famillies in this world are blessing. I have luckily found that blessing in true, devoted friends like you.

  3. I love this. The cadence and the way the words complete the rhyme and sentence – very soothing. Repeating the first stanza at the end is so effective.

    Lovely lovely poem.
