Flood waters have
subsided
irrelevant of the
time and space
left between
as differentially
notations are jotted
down in betwixt
margins
in my mind
filtered down
amongst
darkened hallways
secreted away in
shadows hiding you
from me erudite
of those times
when bewildered by
your bravery
I would glance
skyward and finding
you there was
filled with wonder
you extend your arms
to me laughing
exposing a
reality
your revelation
but my ephihany of
living fearless as
you enfold me
warmly melting
away all
sorrow
in invitation to
your treetop canopy
where the waters
have left you
I contemplate if
this is a dream…or
something
much more

Thanki You Claudia! She is my first daughter born and it was probably the happiest day I can remember. She was healthy until age 13 and then for the next 10yrs a mystery as to what was wrong. Then shock when we knew and from there you accept this is her life. She is my angel.

The image of her enfolding you, comforting you, is poignant, Renee. My prayers continue for you both… glad to be back after the move and hiatus; really missed you and other friends! Peace, Amy

I hope your daughter can and does benefit from the surgery. Lupus is a dreadful illness, little understood with its multiple symptoms and mimickery of other ailments too, as you know, I know all too well myself. The prose is so lovely, heart felt. Good luck to her if she does have surgery, I hope it does ease off some of her pain.

i love you mama…that was beautiful. I do try to be positive and encourage others as this dark place within the shadows that my illness tries to pull me can be such a struggle some days. You are my hero…my angel and without your love and encouragement I wouldn’t be the strong person I am today:-)

So very sorry to hear this news about your daughter, Renee, but as I see by her message to you, she contributes her strength to her supportive and loving mother. How wonderful of her to share such a tribute to you. I wish you both well and hope that any surgery or treatment will bring welcome relief.

Thank You Gayle. We have a special bond, my daughters and I, and I am grateful every day for it. As much as I loved my own mother she came from a different era and did not let people get close to her as I would have liked. Different with my own girls. Surgery will be March 14th so we are hoping for the best.

Thanks Pamela! She is having surgery (the second time in her life) for vericose veins in her right leg that are a mess all the way up into her lower abdomen. They can only do so much so we are hopeful and if not she might have to have more surgery depending on what another specialist suggests.

Thanks so much! Being in constant pain she really has no good quality of life and she is only 35yrs old so not good for someone who likes to be active as she does.

I am glad you wrote this down Renee… such words would have been lost .. and what a shame that would have been..
I am sending your daughter a few thoughts across the airwaves Renee… Has she ever tried Qi Gong! exercises they are gentle and they contain breathing exercises… I ask.. as when I was in severe pain with FMS.. I started classes and also found ‘Spring Forest Qi Gong tapes and videos and they have played a tremendous amount of help in my self healing.. I hope you don’t mind but I put the link here… Love to you all Sue

Thank you Sue! My daughter’s pain is caused in large part by her vericose veins and swollen lymph nodes pressing on nerves. They will remove the vericose veins and then she will go to another specialist about her other problems, which are too long to list here. Her Systemic Lupus is a far worse condition than FMS, which is what I have like yourself, and her immune system attacks her internal organs. She is trying different things but must get the physical part attended to before she can try anything else. I have mentioned to her about visualization, which is what I use and even meditation and will pass your note along to her as well. My daughter may never have the healing you speak of as her immune system simply does not work correctly but what you speak of and what I’ve mentioned could assist her, I’m sure. She will find her way for she is strong but ultimately living with Lupus is living day to day in the unknown. I have a link under Sites to the Lupus Foundation which is certainly worth reading.

When there is flooding or deep torential rains it is dark for awhile, but when everything subsides, there is also sun to promise another day. So, even if it floods in your life, continue to believe in miracles, they happen daily. Candy
