Dreams softly edged in gold
viewed only by the keeper
Landscape as a vista unfolds
velvet-black night the sleeper
Memories of a life untold
’til morning wakes a slumber
Dreams softly edged in gold
viewed only by the keeper

<ahref=”http://promisingpoetsparkinglot.blogspot.com“></a> Thursday Poets Rally Week #57.

It’s run by the folks at The poetry Palace Renee. They run the Sunday Poetry Pot luck and also a bi weekly Poetry Rally. To take part in it you have to enter a piece and then promise to comment on 18 blogs over the course of a week … this is to encourage new poets with their work and share an award. If you are awarded you are supposed to post the award pic, accepting it, write a Haiku to accept (I didn’t) then nominate someone whom you think ought to have the award too. Go here to have a read If you’re not interested, it’s ok, but, I thought you already took part in it. Your work is so lovely.

Well, I linked my site so hope I’m not taking on too much but looks like after the site is linked people simply come read. I have to go to 18 sites but that shouldn’t be too hard. I just don’t understand how to enter a piece unless it is the most recent I have entered? Geez! If it was morning I’d drink coffee. 😉

Renee, this was magical. I especially liked the last line, “viewed only by the keeper,” because it becomes the eye of the beholder. Really nice write, my friend. Peace, Amy (and here’s a fun one:)

The rally is only run every second Thursday. So, yes, you write your piece, then link to the rally at the end of it. Then when you’ve done that you click their link list to the page to all the other blogs and try and comment on 18. Then you win the award. It’s entirely up to you if you want to take part in it or not. I nominated you because I thought you already were in it. If it’s too much pressure, just leave it. Don;t need to add to anymore stress! 🙂

Dreams are an odd place. Some are golden, but I’ve never gotten to the place where once I think I am in control – that I can actually control anything. It is interesting to be me, and to not be me. Most of the times I can more or less figure what caused a spark that lead to a flame, even when it burns funny. I’ve tried keeping a dream journal – but they are just too detailed and most are just altered views of the day gone by.
I’d did get a chance to read the last three posts. Delightful as always. Thank you.

Lovely piece, Renee. I’m particularly drawn in by your use of color and the repetition in the first and last stanza.
