Tiny droplets
condensed moisture
hanging thickly
atop houses
trees, gardens
enveloping all life
a chilling mantle
buffer against
all sensation alas
only the sound is
heard of heartbeats
soft breathing
hushed ‘neath warm
cozy blankets

Thanks Gabrielle! The other morning I looked out my window briefly and could not see hardly anything. I quickly climbed back into bed.

Love the atmosphere evoked by this poem. It’s a bit like that in Sydney at the moment, Renee – coldest start to summer in 50 years, so we’ll definitely need to get out the winter duvet tonight.

I think weather is changing globally. We had no Summer, really, and now more of the same except cold. Keeping warm is definitely the way to go. Thank You!

There is a deffinate quiet that comes in with winter, isn’t there? Lovely!

Yes, so true. Everyone is in their homes and so few out and about. But the quiet is a good thing for writing. Thank You!
