Memories best left
forgotten shredded

Sometimes it is better to remember and move on even though the memory remains. In remembering we will learn from our experiences in life. This is only my own observation as a single piece of mail I received caused me to re-examine a memory of my past and gave rise to this post.

Wise words beautifully expressed. It’s better to not dwell in the past

There are times when I think that some memories remain because we have not yet learned the lesson they come to teach. Other times, I would agree with your words, its best to let it go and move on. I pray for discernment often, lol.

Yes, certainly there are lessons to be learned, hence, why I said it is better to remember and then move on. The memory will always be there but to try to keep it at bay and leave it in the past sometimes is not the best and one tiny thing can cause it all to come flooding back. So, yes, there are lessons but they cannot be learned until we really remember so we can learn what they are. Memories will always remain. I think there is no other way for us as human beings then to have them.Thank You Elizabeth.

wonderfully captured Renee, some painful memories just keep bouncing back again and again.

Renee, this is very good, a great observation served up on a small plate.
As one friend said, “I forgive, but I never forget.” In that way, one can let go of old regrets and try to recognize a “regret in the making” crossing one’s path.
Or, as my smart-alec cat says (I channel her occasionally), “The SMELLody lingers on…”

Sometimes it just happens like that doesn’t it.
Keep moving.

I learned to do just that as there is really so much wisdom in the saying ‘life goes on’ and we need to move with it. Thank You!

So very true Renee.. to move on is sometimes the hardest lesson of all.. as we hold on to hurt, regret, anger etc… Much better if we can view things and let them go.. and let the New move in.. 🙂 Blessings to you and thank you for dropping by my blog Renee… I am not surprised you were adopted by your Cat.. they know when they are going to be loved.. 🙂 xx
