Topsy turvy and upside down
within lies a ghastly scene
survivors trapped, housebound
walls odd angled puzzling
Seeking as if vanquished a
landscape opens swallowing
heedless of plans tarnished
welcome a world of remodeling

The upheavel of decorating used to thrill me, now, like moving.. I shudder at the thought of the chaos… LOL

Remodeling, it takes so long to recover, and then its time to do it again. Don’t envy you, but certainly wish you the best,

I lived in the remodeling of this house for a year and a half after being assured it would be finished in four months. Your poem brings back lots of memories like finding a cow in my kitchen before the fence got built and there were doors on my kitchen. Here there were not Chinese or pizza to rescue me from very primitive cooking facilities. Good luck…love the picture. Hugs, pat

What a great piece, I love the photo and your work around a situation that renders chaos into a fine piece of acceptable thoughts of kitchen remodel hell. Very funny! Candy
