Viewing a waterfront arising
from the peak of a road
descending slowly, showing
hundreds of flags as a
surrender but not to war or
cataclysmic events but only
holding to the brilliance of
sun shining on rippling
movement of water holding
afloat sailing vessels
large, small coming to gather
paying homage to nature’s
god of the universe

Loved it, Renee. Your sunflower was positively Van Goghesque! And a lovely portrait in words, as well. Thanks, Amy

You made me laugh, Amy, as the sunflower is actually the sun. Oh, well, I knew I wasn’t very good to begin with but maybe if I try again I’ll have better luck. I need my own drawing table and supplies.

I’m very impressed with both your “computer” drawing, a la Trisha, and your wonderful poem. Just lovely.

I love your title because it not only identifies the poem, but your own surrender to do some artistic experimentation. Creativity on the computer really does open new avenues and ways of seeing things. Hope you continue and enjoy. This is delightful,

Enjoyed your artwork and your poem. I’m still learning how to rhyme. Art will have to wait.

I think your poetry is excellent, Mike, and as to the artwork…well, not everyone is into that. I am an artist in my spare time so thought to try the Microsoft paint. A bit tricky but I like to draw. You just keep sending your poems our way. I like them! Thanks!
