Take flight on Eagle’s wings
soaring spectacular uplifted
on currents of wind to
heights atop mountains,
river currents swift
Leave the earth behind
Create song as Chickadees,
Mockingbirds and Sparrows do
melodious notes of harmony
invisible ties binding together
choruses blending
Leave the earth behind
Grow within and without amongst
colors vibrant of Tulips, Daffodils,
Hyacinths, Pansies, Sweet Williams,
Marigolds, Pinks and Roses a
spectrum of hues vast, timeless
Leave the earth behind
Soak up the sun and raindrops
with the fruit trees budding
prolific nurturing fruit cocooned,
the heather, azaleas,
rhododendrons blooming
Leave the earth behind you
Becoming one with the earth

I never touched a computer until my early 30s and then only to do college papers. I have written as a young woman but then got stuck in the ‘trappings’ of life…That
disolved after my mom died three years ago and now I have things to write I never knew were there. Thank you for your kind words.

When I come back, I should like to be a bird, to live your words. But suppose I come back as a cat?

It gave me a visual sense of what it must to like to fly. And, was so well done that I could almost think of myself as a bird who took flight. Excellant!
