listening to raindrops
hitting the pavement as
i wait for the rail
to arrive…waiting
i see a tree across
the street a smattering
of leaves left
hanging on like tiny
decorations
blown by the wind and
rain i can almost
hear their symphony a
musical awakening
calling my name
