***Pots of Coffee Brewing***

Morning coffee reminds her of years gone by
when she hustled to clean & tidy up the house
so untidy with five children running about
so she would be in readiness for parents
knowing that several pots would brew of a day
to give her the energy to persevere, strength
to be patient while her mother scrutinized,
criticized and ultimately laughed with her
but she knew as their car left the driveway
she would settle into a comfy spot dozing as
her caffeine high evaporated, energy waned
leaving her thinking of only the one cup
setting before her swirling, inviting to
remind her the pots of coffee that brewed
are but a memory no longer required, no
longer needed to get through parents visits

Beans and Coffee

Elusive Energy

Elusive energy like
misbegotten passion
illusive and fleeting
for only a moment
then it is gone

like a faceted stream
of sunlight showing
prisms radiant as
diamonds vanished
as sunlight fades

Elusive energy that
fans out before you
star dust moonbeams
only captured in
dreamless sleep

#20 Small Stone: Precious Energy

Electric lines carrying
precious energy now
left lying in the snow
leaving lives without
heat to warm homes
disconnecting work as
our world becomes a
motionless landscape

#18 Small Stone: Liquid Coffee Bean

Coffee brewing wafting
aroma of fresh ground
coffee beans creating
transformation into
pure energy liquid to
warm you from the
inside out on a very
chilling winter day

Angels Incoming

Imagine airwaves filled with energy
amazing light the aura of a rainbow
imagine dreams coming true and a
 destiny fulfilled pure as creation
you have imagined ‘Angels Incoming’

Imagine all this energy holding the
radiance of calm and healing to be
with a sick child in a hospital room
holding the hand of grieving parents
you have imagined ‘Angels Incoming’

Imagine hope given freely and comfort
to those in poverty barely living and
those walking the streets without any
home to go to, wrapped warm and fed
you have imagined ‘Angels Incoming’

Imagine peace amongst warring nations
with people held in the grip of pain
death surrounding them and threatening
to take them walking heads held proud
you have imagined ‘Angels Incoming’

Imagine lands with disease caused by
catastrophic storms where hope seems to
abandon and no future seems left open
now rebuilding, surviving, planning
you have imagined ‘Angels Incoming’

Imagine airwaves filled with energy
amazing light the aura of a rainbow
imagine dreams coming true and a
 destiny fulfilled pure as creation
you have imagined ‘Angels Incoming’

My oldest daughter has struggled so with her Lupus and continues to rise above when others would have long given up and my youngest daughter somehow is still here after being in an accident that could have taken her life or worse and she is still here and well. Sometimes it is difficult to Not Believe that there is something more, something beyond all comprehension. I, for one, believe in the possibility.
