Wings of Spirit

Let thy spirit soar to
skies toward the clouds
to play on high

Capture sun rays on
spirit wings to glisten
where the birds do sing

Then will it toward the
earth to fall to speed
along earthen vale

That nature wrought with
love and might where your
spirit doth takes flight

Then direct your path to
oceans wide to collect
the sea salt in the tide

Take there your written
words abide within the
tides of time reside

Your spirit belongs to
you alone loving all
earth above and below

Inspiration struck when I visited my friend’s site in New Zealand and viewed a video she posted there called 2012 Year of Power. Thank you Marja for a beautiful site filled with ideas of wonder. I invite you to go to her site and see this video. See http://dutchcorner.blogspot.com and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Eyes of the Soul

Try seeing with the eyes of your soul to
imagine life upside down, inside out, a
life where animals that walk the earth
had wings to fly instead and the birds of
the air had legs to walk on the earth,
what would life be like then…
Phenomenal

Cats, dogs, horses,elephants with wings
to fly high above to play with the clouds
to venture to mountain tops covered with
snow, to see running rivers swift, lakes and
oceans to delight, confounding the senses
what would life be like then…
Mesmerizing

Birds transformed into creatures with legs
walking in fields of flowers, climbing to the
tops of mountains, traveling to the depths of
valleys, amazed at the smallest of creatures,
curling up to sleep in hay or on a bed
what would life be like then…
Serendipitous

Leave the Earth Behind

Take flight on Eagle’s wings
soaring spectacular uplifted
on currents of wind to
heights atop mountains,
river currents swift
Leave the earth behind

Create song as Chickadees,
Mockingbirds and Sparrows do
melodious notes of harmony
invisible ties binding together
choruses blending
Leave the earth behind

Grow within and without amongst
colors vibrant of Tulips, Daffodils,
Hyacinths, Pansies, Sweet Williams,
Marigolds, Pinks and Roses a
spectrum of hues vast, timeless
Leave the earth behind

Soak up the sun and raindrops
with the fruit trees budding
prolific nurturing fruit cocooned,
the heather, azaleas,
rhododendrons blooming
Leave the earth behind you

Becoming one with the earth
