I finished this before my recent move. It is a mixed media of acrylics, watercolor, colored pencil, and collage. My daughter has accepted it for her new home where she also just finished moving to.

    1. Thank you Betty. I am glad you like this piece of art. I still need to take it to her as she said to keep it until she was moved. I just have always liked to draw. My favorite thing about first going to school was finger painting. 🙂

  2. Renee, your art is just beautiful, I love the way you have mixed your media into this special painting.. The colours blend perfectly into an Autumn scene . I love the way you have patterned your leaves and the centre one reminds me of a butterfly. You should really get your art box out more often Renee.. But now you are settling into your new home, maybe there will be more art and music in your life.. I do hope so..

    I am a year younger than you, and each year that passes by I think I need to pursue the things that are meaningful to me more.. So do not give up on your idea of publishing your poems.. Keep looking around for a good publisher or Self Publish.. We both have many published friends here on WP, and I am sure if you were to ask one of them their advice they would be happy to give it, to set you on your way.

    I am still in the process of sorting out my poems into categories I have hundreds to choose from. And in the beginning of the year I set my intentions to try to write how they had come into being and attempted to start a book of sorts..
    But it ended up I recounted more memories than I wished to, as I allowed my pen to flow.. So much so, I gave up, as I didn’t want a biography memoir. So I am rethinking how to go about it..
    In the mean time the better weather is here, and my gardens are in need of time spent in them. So its shelved for now as is my time on WP..
    Live is for living and the Sun is a rare sight in our cloudy climate the best of times, So this unusual Heat Wave we have this week is getting my attention LOL

    I loved your comment, and thought to reply here to you.. Likewise Renee, were we ever to meet, I know we would have much to talk about together.. And were you my neighbour we would spend many happy hours in conversation.. That I am certain of..

    Take care Renee, Enjoy your Art, Your Music, dont put off getting those earphones too long.. The keyboard awaits.. As do your brushes.. Enjoy this time, you so deserve it..

      2. Thank you so much for your whoohoooo! Made my day. But actually there will be more changes at the end of this lease as my partner and I have decided to call it a day after 20yrs. We are both 65yrs old and both retired and no longer are a positive place for each other. I will move in with my oldest daughter for a time starting April 2019 and go from there. But I will still be creating, writing and reading. It is what I do and I will certainly see my great granddaughters more. Hope you are well and again thank you for being my long distance friend. xoxo

      3. I am sorry to hear that you will be going your separate ways Renee.. But sometimes we need to be honest with ourselves.. So I think it takes courage to call it a day..
        On a brighter note you will see more of your grandchildren and daughter, and I hope you get to continue in your wonderful creations, of art and music and poetry..

    1. Thanks Trisha for coming by and for your kind comment. Being so busy with finding another place, packing and then moving was quite the undertaking but we are here now. I almost cannot believe I will be 66yrs old in August. I don’t know where the time has gone. Hope you are well. You definitely keep busy! 🙂
