The Hummingbird trolls
looking for the sweet taste
of nectar
the vibration
of its’ beating wings
keeping rhythm with
its’ beating heart
a group of Piping Plovers
walk quickly in unison
across the sand’s surface
their nervous movement
hurried and rapid as
a flash of light
a wave crashing
on the shore
creatures reminding me
of my own beating heart
that nearly betrayed
given a chance to beat again
keeping time with each step
so I can once again see
a Hummingbird and the Plover

Whenever you are here it is a good day. I am always happy to see you here and I feel better every day now my ulcers have healed after my bleed. Too much aspirin and am happy not to be taking it anymore. Blood thinners are enough! xoxo 🙂

Thank you Grace. I am happy you feel the way you do about your own health. I always felt I was fortunate until last year and gave my adult children some serious worry about me. But I am here and also enjoying a wonderful great granddaughter with my heart beating strong. Take care
