i see you dancing
on the floor of the
pizza parlor
a smile playing
across your face
where every note
that is pumped
out of the theatre
pipe organ
embraces you
plys your feet
with rhythm
only you would know
caring not that
eyes are watching
i see you even though
you are gone now
a memory that
spilled out of
the letter you wrote

Sounds like a fond memory. Those can last a lifetime. That was a lovely poem.

Thank you and yes, I find the older I get, the more memories I have to look back at and they bring a smile to my face.

I really did not say but it was mom many years ago now and the kids (who were quite young) didn’t know quite what to make of her. Smiles

You are wise my friend but I have to get the piano tuned first. When money is better that will be next. She is only working parttime thus far but hopefully it will become something more. Thank You!

Thank you and yes, if you would like. This is about my mom. I seem to write a few about her since her passing five years ago now.

I know how this goes. I’ve wrtten two in the last couple of weeks – one for both my parents, “From the Shadow of the Moon” – and the other for my mom, “Squeezing a Penny.”
Thank you, Renee.
