i held them all one by one
a gift of life in my arms
watching their eyes move
beneath fluttering lids
of what do they dream?
with their warm bodies
and sweet milky breath
“hush little baby don’t you
cry cause mama’s gonna sing
you a lullaby”…Shhhhhhhh
now don’t you cry, be safe
in my arms, just you and i
watch them inhale as
they quietly are dreaming
making soft baby noises of
what do they see?…bottles
of milk, my smiling face or
sunbeams that sunsets
will never let stray
“hush little baby don’t you
cry cause mama’s gonna sing
you a lullaby”…Shhhhhhhh
i shall tell of beauteous things
to soothe you when i sing

I sang to them all and to my grandbabies too. But they are all too big now. The youngest grandson is nearly 5yrs old. How time flies.

Aww, how sweet..I can feel your love, Renee. I guess five year olds wouldn’t dare let you sing to them…oh, well… I sang to my babies too and now there’s little Mira to sing a lullaby to.

I remember singing to my Samantha when she was a newborn and now she is 17yrs old. She is my oldest daughter’s daughter. You just keep on singing to your Mira for as long as she will let you. Take care.

Its very obvious that this is written by a grandparent, this grandad has done the same.
Very soothing, warm and caring, the love in these words are just, well, obvious.
