Star Dust Applause

when will the knowing come
of when you will need me
before the Spring snow melts
as glacier waters freeing

as tidal pools are not
brimming forth with
ocean creatures spiny life

when celestial heavens
spill forth the stars to
create another Milky Way
 with star dust applause

when will this knowing come
candescent as a candle flame
in your beauty that is you

it will come without knowing
in the richness of your life
like filtered sun into my heart
woven tightly all the threads
amidst vast and cloudless skies

    1. Thank You Bren! Sorry to have taken so long to respond but have been getting the yard in order and with work, I have quite worn myself out. Too, my oldest daughter (the one with Lupus) found why she was having severe pain issues on one side of her abdomen. She had surgery some 14yrs ago and a doctor (now nowhere to be found) left surgical clips inside her…3 of them. She is consulting with surgeons now on how best to proceed to remove them, albeit they have already caused alot of damage to her nerves. I worry and then it really is hard to sleep. Keep her in your thoughts, won’t you?

  1. aloha Renee – this is a good match up (imo) between image and poetry. way fun on the radiating lines that clear a way into the stars. i like that. that movement works well to draw the viewer in.

i also like that you’ve pushed the writing off to the side. that creates a back and forth eye movement between the focus of the image and the focus of the words for the viewer. enabling the viewer to go back and forth that way keeps their eye in your work. a very good thing to do – imo.

    1. Thank You! I did set out to create an effect that would go with what I was writing and it seemed to work out pretty well. It is difficult for me to not overdo as less is sometimes better. I do that alot. 🙂
