Four pairs of eyes
watching me
unaware
all brown, one blue
I am entranced
by their smiles
where
they are captured
there in their
youth
varied colored hues
remaining
timeless
forever standing
still
within my
portrait borders
a gift given
freely and
to few

A big smile at the imagery here – “captured there in their youth” and “within my portrait borders”, in particular

Thank you Sue! No worries. Everyone is busy this time of year. I, too, have been lax as I’ve just finished a the portrait I mentioned so haven’t been to sites as usual. Have a Wonderful Holiday!!

This brings a smile. I like your “portrait borders”. This looks similar to one of Trisha’s paintings…have you taken up painting on the computer too, Renee? I gave it a brief try but was all thumbs…maybe I’ll try it again another time.

Thanks Gayle. Yes, I’ve done a few of the computer paintings as I felt inspired by Trisha and usually mine don’t look anything like hers’ as I feel she is so much better at it than myself. It is difficult with my arthritis but I keep trying. Takes a steady hand which is a challenge. I really admire what Trisha can do.
