Filtered warmth reaches
out caressing window panes
roof tops in the dawn of
a chilling Fall morning
Yellow golden orb with
rays so real they feel as
a solid mass of butter a
tongue tasting delicious
Every surface a reflection
gleaming it’s majesty tinted
ecstasy held as in nature’s
mirror coveting it’s own

Nice…I like the real butter quality. Even nicer when it is warmer and the sun toasts your skin…

thats an amazing poem and painting. i assume you painted it. that sun is truly magical 🙂
i have seen colder weather than west bengal, not freezing but ample cold to know what you want to say about that sun. 🙂

Thank you Trisha and yes, I did do this image. Could not find one I liked so thought to try again. My hand is not as steady as I would like…as yours is…but I am still encouraged when I see what you have done.

Magical and delicious … it is sunny today in Central TX, but a bit cool for me … the wind is blowing, and I suspect will strip the remaining leaves off the tree. Well done! Love the word imagery and the visual imagery ~~ great duo!!

Thank you Becca! I’ll imagine it is a bit of a reprieve from all the intense heat of Summer for you? It is too wet here and today the brief day of sun gone and another storm with lots of wind and rain.

Renee, I was chilly before reading this – your words literally warmed me at my computer! Imagination can be that strong… Also LOVE your painting! Perfect pairing – or, as Gene Wilder said in “Young Frankenstein,” “Nice grouping!”
Great, Renee. Thanks and peace, Amy (For a lame excuse at why I haven’t been around, plus a new poem, go to the link!!)

Thanks Amy and glad I could warm you up a bit. The sun was brief but nice. No excuse is lame, my dear, and I’m sure whatever else you do is well worth it.

In the early morning bright
as the day begins from night
a rageing ball of fire bathes the sky in a crimson light
as the heavens and the earth
join to welcome the sun
the beasts in the fields leap and run
the birds begin to sing
a hawk taks wing
the land itself has opened up
like a flower in the spring.
One poem inspires another.
Thanks for posting.
