Robert Frost, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
Robert Frost is one of my favorite poets and the above words from one of his best known poems. I wanted to share with everyone something that speaks to me in the form of poetry.
I read Savioni’s write on Frost and he sees so clearly what the poet had in mind, I believe. It is so true that we ‘all’ take the road less traveled in some way or another. Thank you for the link.
You are very kindly welcome, Renee. Mario Savioni is the friend who launched me, so to speak. He gave me the impulse to write without fear and to start blogging no matter what might happen. That is why I so appreciate that you and some other followers of mine check out his work. He writes much better than me; instead, his blog gets very little attention compared to mine, which is not fair. I love his chapter 5 on dream and reality, illusion and delusion, sexual desire and love search with people who are so different in age. Besides, each chapter stands as a completely meaningful unit per se which can be read and fully comprehended without reading the other chapters. Yes, this poem is beautiful. I also love the classic “The Road not Taken”. Look, this is a great American friend of mine, artist-writer (also a poet) Mario Savioni, who wrote this delicious analysis on Robert Frost’s aforementioned poem: https://savioni.wordpress.com/2016/05/28/analysis-of-robert-frosts-poem-the-road-not-taken/
